Visiting a new church can be intimidating.  We know it’s hard, so here are a few answers to commonly asked questions to give you an idea of what to expect when you visit SouthPoint Church.  Whether you are new to the area and looking for a new church home, used to going to church, but haven’t been in awhile, or have never been to church in your life, whatever your reason for visiting us, we are glad you are here and want your visit to be positive.  If you want more information about us, check out “Our Story” and “What We Believe” or send us a question.

    What should I wear?
  • SouthPoint is “come as you are.”  Blue jeans or a tie, shorts and sandals or a dress, we want you to be comfortable.  So dress as you like and enjoy the service.
What will I do with my kids?
  • We love kids! Bring them too. We have a clean and safe nursery for the babies and toddlers, and classes for kids up to the 5th grade.  Just check in at the registration table, and we will take it from there. Or, if you prefer, they can join the adults in the worship service.  CLICK HERE to visit our Children's Ministry page!
Will you ask me for money?
  • Offerings are an act of worship by our regular attendees.  We are glad you came to visit…leave your wallet in your pocket unless you feel led to give.
What kind of music will there be?
  • The praise team will lead us in worship with all types of music. Contemporary praise music is the norm, but an older hymn may be worked into the mix on occasion too.  CLICK HERE to visit the Worship Ministry page!
How long does the service last?
  • We start at 10:00 am and finish up between 11:00 and 11:30.  After the service we have a fellowship time in the foyer until 12:00.  We hope you will hang around after the service and let us introduce ourselves over a cup of coffee.
Where do you meet and how do I get there?
  • We meet at J. Michael Lunsford Middle School.  CLICK HERE for times and directions.
